Benefit are back with another big collection drop. Well actually it is more of a rebrand of their concealer range with a few new extras added in. You may have seen images of the new pink branding over your newsfeed on the gram. But here I am giving you my own little summary of each product. I am a concealer fan in general, thanks to my little spot friends and am also all about a bright under eye, so it was fab to test all these babies out. Lucky enough I don't suffer from under eye darkness or bags (just yet - but I've just turned 24 so I'm sure that will be coming soon. YAY).

This is so damn soft and bouncy when you start to touch it. The lightweight formula makes it very easy to blend but I would say the coverage isn't that strong. It feels so nice and silky though so it's great to rub all over your face (well your problem areas not all over obviously). I would tend to use this under my eyes before using a brighter concealer.

The OG concealer. If you haven't tried this out yet this will defo be your go to when you have a pesky breakout. This is one of the first Benefit products I tried all of them years ago and it is will soon become your make-up bag must have.

This one probably intrigued me the most out of the collection. It is actually hydrating (who would have guessed it from the title) so if you have dry areas you have problems covering this is a great way to fix that. For me and my skin I don't think this is necessarily a must have for me (shoutout to my other oily gals) so I don't really tend to use it that much. The coverage is pretty light too so I would be looking for something with more coverage for breakouts.

This is the go-to under eye concealer from the collection and it reminds me a bit of that Bobbi Brown corrector/concealer duo. Originally I thought this was too dark so wasn't into it. But then I realised it sort of has this darker red undertone to colour correct, you then put a brighter concealer over to get the full look you want to achieve. Like I mentioned at the start of this post, I don't really suffer from dark under eyes, so I don't tend to automatically reach for this. But after a few crazy nights, this will come in handy when I'm trying to fake that well rested look.

I've also added some other of my favourite, go-to concealers down below.

Oh haiiiii! Told you I would be talking more on the blog again! This tee got me feeling all types of Tumblr tbh. Slogan tees are my go to right now, I'm currently planning my LA wardrobe (keano I know but I am SO excited) and a lot of my planned outfits are consisting of a slogan tee. This has also been the first time I have fake tanned in about 3 months & damn St.Tropez came through with their dark spray on, I forgot how much I love being tanned and not looking like Casper.

I think Sunday is quite a nice time reflect and look forward to the coming week. So upcoming plans in my world consist of : gym, work, sleep, gym & hoping to cope them new Yeezy's (wish me luck). I plan to do a more in depth post and maybe even a YT video on my current fitness journey. Now I am no way an expert or near my goal (goals being Bella/Gigi/Kylie etc) but I am currently going into my 6th week of the 'GET FIT BEFORE LA' plan. I am trying to drink at least 2 litres of water a day - which does miracles I tell you! Take more vitamins, workout at least 3 times a week (gym and at home) & a calorie controlled diet. Now I am not saying it is easy, I normally tend to be on these get fit hypes for about a month and then I give up. But I think this time is a bit different because I've worked on my mind as well as my body. Just pushing myself that bit further, by not being lazy. So I am just really trying to focus on that over the next coming weeks (which means I am being a boring old fart tbh).

Dear Diary

flatlay, beauty blogger uk, list of enemies, girls,

I sort of forgot what my blog was about for a while and the reason why I started it. I get so caught up with other peoples content and the fact that I don't look a certain way and my photos don't look a certain way. But I just need to STOP. I've always said my blog is my little space on the internet with which I can do what I want. So I'm going to start getting back to the mindset and not worry if everything isn't how I want it to look, I just want to get the motivation back when it comes to blogging. I mean even with writing, I used to love that bit of blogging as I have a lot of things I want to say (truth be told, this is more to do with time and trying to balance the old work thing and social life).

For example I am going away to LA in April and I could not be more excited and I have mentioned it the odd few times on Instagram but I haven't sat down and put into words on my little space. So yes I am flying across the pond with two of my best friends for the trip of a lifetime. We touch down in LA for around 5 days & then we make our way down to Palm Springs for a weekend at Coachella. The fact that I'm actually writing that is crazy! I have spent years dreaming of going to Coachella and now in 2017, it's finally my year to experience it! After Chella, we are then making our way to Vegas for a few days (LOL, how am I going to survive this)?! Then back to LA for our last few days of the city. Now I am hoping to vlog and create ALL the content, which I can't wait to share with you guys! Also let me know any recommendations you think I should go to when I am over there!

So yes that it happening. So that is pretty much the most exciting thing that is happening in my life right now. This has been great, my blog, my space, my words. I'm going to try and get more stuff and words out but for now peace out.

My first blog post of the year (damn it's been a long time coming). I'm not even going to bore you with where I've been etc but here I am! So today I'm talking to you about my new favourite skincare brand. I was first introduced to this brand in the summer where I was presented some products and the ethos behind the brand. They basically want to use all the ingredients your skin needs (& that are in top end products) but without having that major price tag. Perfect, right?

So I was lucky enough to get a sample of the Niacinamide serum just before Christmas and have used it ever since! I drastically noticed a difference in my skin and my problem areas seemed to clear up quickly! (NB: I have been drinking a lot more water recently so that has also been a helping factor). But I don't think I've ever used a skincare product that has made my skin so noticeably different so quickly. With this Niacinamide serum I tend to put one drop of it in my hands and put it over my face just before bed (make sure all make-up is off and you have nice clean & cleansed skin before applying).

There are a few choices (which unfortunately ASOS are currently sold out on) and it can be a bit mind boggling. Trust me, we spent the best part of the morning at work deciding what we should buy and reading up on reviews (most of the team bought them all). I think because the price is SO good, you can afford to pick a few and test them out! So far I've heard that the Buffer is a great way to prime your face & that make-up stays on way longer and the Rose Oil helps oily skin (who would have thunk it - oil helping oil).

I knew that I wouldn't be able to keep up with a routine of about 6 different products so I repurchased the Niacinamide because it has quickly become my cult favourite. Then I also picked up the Alpha Arbutus 2% which I think helps with spots, which is what I was after. With this serum is recommends to use it in the morning and the evening but at the moment I've just been using it in the evening. So I tend to put that one on first in the early evening and then literally just put the Niacinamide one on before bed.

It's a bit hard when you use a few different products to work out what is helping and doing what. I think the Alpha Arbutus one is a bit more industrial because of the hyaluronic acid in it but I would still say the Niacinamide is my absolute favourite (Psst don't get scared with the word of acid - it's just a small percentage that tackles different skin problems).

I also picked up this Vitamin C Suspension product which is sort of like a moisturiser but it's got quite a thick consistency. I've only used this a couple of times to give my skin a bit more TLC. I used it before make-up and it did actually make it go on a lot smoother, even though I'm not sure it's meant for that!

Shop the current in stock ones on ASOS right now 👇 (but you're going to have to be quick as half the range has already sold out)!
