It's July which means it's officially my birthday month! What better way to kick it off with this AMAZING orange Missguided jacket and a lovely meal at The Beehive

It was the first visit to this wonderful Gastropub but is a firm favourite of my parents so was excited to try! The vibe is really nice and laid-back, even though it's food is pretty much Michelin star quality it wasn't protentous at all. I went for a whole lot of fish with the Calamari to start and Turbot for starters -which was the perfect main course for such a hot and sunny day. It was fresh and light, I actually ordered chips on the side because cheat day and it was too much. However it would have been rude not to order desert and I went for this deathly chocolate number with the chocolate fondant, which was SO SO good and can't stop thinking about it. I can't wait to go back! My boyfriend and I have our eye on the curry event they have on in November.

Now on to the rest of the month's birthday activities!

TBH I don't know what I've been more excited about, this Crayola Beauty drop on ASOS or getting sent some fab KoKo lashes my favourites False Eyelashes.co.uk. Originally I stopped myself buy any crazy colours from the Crayola collection and opted for a nude and an orange but I gave in to this yellow and hey I'm pretty damn into it! I've never really experimented with yellow but have alway envied people on the gram rocking it, so thought it was my time to (literally) shine. The crayons are so easy to use and apply, great if you're on the run and want a dash of colour. I was actually shook how easy it was, normally I sit down and expect my eyes to take me a good 15 minutes and then in 15 seconds I had finished them with this crayon.

This eye look is paired with the Amore style lashes from Koko, I hadn't ever used this brand before so was excited to get my hands on them. They are around £10 so a pretty good price in the HQ lash world. I do find that the band is a little thick so I have to concentrate on sticking them down a bit more but that could also be because I have had lash extensions for a while so have been out of the false lash game and my abilities have lowered. I LOVE how dramatic this style is without making me look too OTT, I actually brushed them through a little bit to make them wispier (little tip for you there).

Anyway I'm off to buy more crayons because they are so damn easy! I have just got the most beautiful pink glittery one from Bobbi Brown which I can't wait to use too. But for the moment I think you're going to have to get used to me rocking this yellow look.

"You can't buy happiness but you can a plane ticket and that's pretty much the same thing"

I have just got back for the most amazing two week holiday in the Dominican Republic and it was just pure happiness. As soon as I got home and walked into my empty house, walked into my bedroom had a look round - nothing had changed. Of course nothing has changed, you've only been away for two bloody weeks Jade. But there's always that weird feeling, I just sort of stood there and felt empty, the thought of emptying my case seemed like a monumental effort, especially after being awake for 25 hours.

Now it's bang straight back to reality and the automatic feeling of wanting to book another holiday. But it's got me thinking surely there's more to life than that annual holiday. You work like a dog all year to pay for this holiday and then that's it. It makes me want to quit and travel the world but equally I want to have an amazing career and a house so I know that's not the path for me. There is just something so refreshing about travelling to new places (especially with the love of your life), learning about new cultures and seeing some of the most beautiful sights in the world. As you can tell I have those post-holiday blues but however I am trying to be positive and look forward to summer 2018.

Beating my post-holiday blues:
x Depoping : putting a bunch of stuff on my depop account allowing me to make some extra $ (can add to savings to pay for the next trip)
x Blogging : I want to document more travel + style on my blog so want to write up an Travel Guide on Punta Cana, which is a nice way to look back on these experiences
x Shopping : I was in shock when I arrived back at Heathrow to 20 degree sunshine skies, so my summer wardrobe needs some updates
x Summer Plans: Getting more plans in the diary in order to have things to look forward to

3 Outfit Ideas for Valentine's Day | Style

valentines outfit 2018, clive christian perfume, gold boots, polyvore outfit

valentines outfit 2018, clive christian perfume, vintage chanel, polyvore outfit, louis Vuitton boots
Oh Valentine’s, whether you love it or loathe it - it’s happening. I have to admit I am an ex-loather of this cupid day but this year Valentine’s clashes with my one year anniversary with my love so we are combining the two to make it a MEGA valen-versary (I tried to merge the two there - did it work? No I didn’t think so either).

Anyway good ol’ Valentine’s Day - I was inspired by the Clive Christian Gift Sets For Her which includes 3 scents to style a particular outfit for whatever your date night entails. Whether you want to dress to the nines for dinner with the girls or have a cinema date with bae, here are 3 luxury styles to inspire you for date night.

Regal - Dinner Date

The flared trouser and crop top (the jeans and a nice top 2.0 in my opinion) is my absolute go to when I want to get dressed up but feel a bit too conscious to wear a dress. These trousers are an absolute dream, I mean of course they are they are from Fendi with an absolute dream price tag to match. If Fendi is a bit out of the price range (when I say bit I mean completely), Prettylittlething and Missguided have some great flared trousers in a range of colours and patterns. Another added extra luxury is the iconic Gucci belt, I received mine for Christmas and I literally wear it with everything: skirts, jeans, dresses, you name it I GG it up.

Glittering - Casual Cinema

All nude everything with a little added sparkle is a easy and casual win. Keeping it simple with a little plain crop t-shirt and a patterned skirt so you can let your metallic gold ankle boots do the talking. Keep your lip simple with a nude shade and add some extra sparkle to your eyes. This outfit was basically made for the kira kira app!

Exotic - Party Party

Want to forget the fact it's valentines and party or perhaps even party with your bae - the classic little black skirt is here. Making it a little less dressy and a little more edgy with thick chunky boots, still super stylish but making you last on the dance floor a little longer. Accessorise with gold jewellery and my go-to a nude lip.

Whatever you get up to this Valentine's - enjoy!

It's hard being a sleepy girl with a busy life || Ren & Now To Sleep Review

Why is it you're tired all day and the only thing on your mind is getting into your cosy bed and having an early night. Then POW as soon as your head hits that pillow, every awkward moment you have encountered in your life starts to replay in your mind. So yes I am pretty much sleepy 86% of my life (shoutout to that early morning commute) but equally find it hard to go to sleep.

Lucky enough a little parcel landed on my doorstep from the lovely ladies at REN Skincare, launching their new & Now To Sleep spray*. It is enriched with oils and help restore your calmness and pre-sleep tranquillity.

I first tried it on a Sunday - probably my worst night to try and go to sleep as this is when I overthink EVERYTHING. From my upcoming week, to-do list, what I have to do at work that week, a constant fear of not being good enough and most of all a list of unanswered questions from Blue Planet. I sprayed it on both of my pillows and I actually did feel an overwhelming of calmness. I had to keep taking deep breathes of my pillow to keep the anxiety at bay. I don't think it particularly helped me fall asleep quicker on Sunday but I could definitely tell a difference in my calmness.

I then tried it on a weekday and I noticed a lot more of a difference. Again I felt the calmness but it let me fall asleep a lot quicker. Again I spray quite a lot onto both of my pillows and breathe in deeply. I tend to be quite stressed and anxious so anything to help me relax when I go to bed is a miracle.

This is now part of my nightly ritual and it is also a great stocking filler to any of the sleepy people you know in your life! Shop now for Christmas: https://www.renskincare.com/uk/gifts.html

1. I should really eat my vegetables.

It's fine, baked beans totally tick that box right?

2. I'm literally so poor, I need to stop spending money.

Puts asos order through because it will probably sell out before payday.

3. I'm still so young I'm just going to party and live life care-free.

Goes on Facebook and decides I need a house, baby and marriage asap.

4. I am definitely going to save this month.

End of the month ends up in my overdraft again.

5. I'm going to delete all of my social media, it's too depressing.

Spends 2 more hours scrolling Instagram.

6. I'm going to get a credit card just to up my crediting rating but I won't buy anything.

£5,000 later....

7. I shall be on the health hype this week and go to the gym at least 3 times.

Well I walked up the stairs during the fire alarm, that counts as my workout right?

LOVE. Oh that small little 4 letter word that seems like the biggest in the world. A thing I had once been quoted on 'that I simply do not believe in it' (I was young and bitter). Until you meet THAT person, I feel like you don't truly know what it is. I mean that might sound a little dramatic but I am SO IN LOVE at the moment and as much as it's sounds gushy (and you're probably sitting there like oh shutup Jade and get a room), but it is the greatest thing in the world. I've met people throughout my life and previously thought I was in love but looking back I was in love with the wrong person and it wasn't a healthy relationship at all. Being in love with someone is all about wanting the best for them AND yourself and building that life together.

I have ALWAYS been an ice queen like always. So me even saying I'm in love let alone writing a whole blog post about it, is pretty crazy! I mentioned in a previous blog post about my self-love journey and my boyfriend is for sure a huge part of that, he brings me up when I'm down and always reassures me about my self and how brilliant I am (which I need a LOT of the time).

Getting through the most painful of days or experiences knowing you have THAT person to lean on and be there to support & comfort you is amazing. Obviously friends and family are always that rock for you but there's something about being in the arms of your loved one (them kisses on the forehead are the one).

I do think love has changed me or maybe it's just I've grown up a bit but I have different priorities now. Obviously when you're in a relationship you aren't just thinking of yourself anymore and you've always got to think of that other person. Which sometimes isn't always easy and I feel when you begin a new relationship you can sometimes loose yourself. But having that person by your side to tackle the world together is the best and I'm so excited what the world holds for us.

So this is basically an open love letter to him. Thank you for changing my perspectives on relationships. Thank you for loving me so honestly and deeply. Thank you for supporting me. Thank you for letting me be me. Thank you for being you.
