Why is it you're tired all day and the only thing on your mind is getting into your cosy bed and having an early night. Then POW as soon as your head hits that pillow, every awkward moment you have encountered in your life starts to replay in your mind. So yes I am pretty much sleepy 86% of my life (shoutout to that early morning commute) but equally find it hard to go to sleep.

Lucky enough a little parcel landed on my doorstep from the lovely ladies at REN Skincare, launching their new & Now To Sleep spray*. It is enriched with oils and help restore your calmness and pre-sleep tranquillity.

I first tried it on a Sunday - probably my worst night to try and go to sleep as this is when I overthink EVERYTHING. From my upcoming week, to-do list, what I have to do at work that week, a constant fear of not being good enough and most of all a list of unanswered questions from Blue Planet. I sprayed it on both of my pillows and I actually did feel an overwhelming of calmness. I had to keep taking deep breathes of my pillow to keep the anxiety at bay. I don't think it particularly helped me fall asleep quicker on Sunday but I could definitely tell a difference in my calmness.

I then tried it on a weekday and I noticed a lot more of a difference. Again I felt the calmness but it let me fall asleep a lot quicker. Again I spray quite a lot onto both of my pillows and breathe in deeply. I tend to be quite stressed and anxious so anything to help me relax when I go to bed is a miracle.

This is now part of my nightly ritual and it is also a great stocking filler to any of the sleepy people you know in your life! Shop now for Christmas: https://www.renskincare.com/uk/gifts.html

1. I should really eat my vegetables.

It's fine, baked beans totally tick that box right?

2. I'm literally so poor, I need to stop spending money.

Puts asos order through because it will probably sell out before payday.

3. I'm still so young I'm just going to party and live life care-free.

Goes on Facebook and decides I need a house, baby and marriage asap.

4. I am definitely going to save this month.

End of the month ends up in my overdraft again.

5. I'm going to delete all of my social media, it's too depressing.

Spends 2 more hours scrolling Instagram.

6. I'm going to get a credit card just to up my crediting rating but I won't buy anything.

£5,000 later....

7. I shall be on the health hype this week and go to the gym at least 3 times.

Well I walked up the stairs during the fire alarm, that counts as my workout right?

LOVE. Oh that small little 4 letter word that seems like the biggest in the world. A thing I had once been quoted on 'that I simply do not believe in it' (I was young and bitter). Until you meet THAT person, I feel like you don't truly know what it is. I mean that might sound a little dramatic but I am SO IN LOVE at the moment and as much as it's sounds gushy (and you're probably sitting there like oh shutup Jade and get a room), but it is the greatest thing in the world. I've met people throughout my life and previously thought I was in love but looking back I was in love with the wrong person and it wasn't a healthy relationship at all. Being in love with someone is all about wanting the best for them AND yourself and building that life together.

I have ALWAYS been an ice queen like always. So me even saying I'm in love let alone writing a whole blog post about it, is pretty crazy! I mentioned in a previous blog post about my self-love journey and my boyfriend is for sure a huge part of that, he brings me up when I'm down and always reassures me about my self and how brilliant I am (which I need a LOT of the time).

Getting through the most painful of days or experiences knowing you have THAT person to lean on and be there to support & comfort you is amazing. Obviously friends and family are always that rock for you but there's something about being in the arms of your loved one (them kisses on the forehead are the one).

I do think love has changed me or maybe it's just I've grown up a bit but I have different priorities now. Obviously when you're in a relationship you aren't just thinking of yourself anymore and you've always got to think of that other person. Which sometimes isn't always easy and I feel when you begin a new relationship you can sometimes loose yourself. But having that person by your side to tackle the world together is the best and I'm so excited what the world holds for us.

So this is basically an open love letter to him. Thank you for changing my perspectives on relationships. Thank you for loving me so honestly and deeply. Thank you for supporting me. Thank you for letting me be me. Thank you for being you.

Not going to lie, as everyone else is still saying there sad goodbyes to those summer days and sliders. I am here grinning and welcoming my favourite time of the year. I mean if you don't know (I mean everyone and their cat probably does) but I LOVE CHRISTMAS. So this build up to the most wonderful time of the year is the BEST!

It means layers, chunky knits, hot chocolates, crisp autumn walks, cosy nights in (and not feeling guilty about not going clubbing), Christmas markets, buying wrapping paper, pigs in blankets, faux fur, sparklers, all the smelling candles, lots of cuddles, roast dinners, giving gifts, bonfires, movie nights, fluffy socks.

Happy Autumn y'all!

COMMANDMENT #1 THY MUST LOVE ONE'S SELF

Emotional baggage, well Skinnydip just get us millennials don't they. Well let's put it this way I would definitely need a bigger bag than this to carry mine round. At the start of the year I met my current boyfriend, the love of my life and the man I'm pretty certain I want to spend my future with. And with this new relationship, I have only now realised how much emotional baggage I have carried around with me for years. From past relationships, childhood traumas and general lack of self-love. I'm not going to bore you by going into all of these things, so no need to get your tiny violins out. But the main thing for me is this whole idea of self-love. This is something I am very very far away from achieving but it's something that I know I need to work on. It can actually be quite crippling, looking in the mirror everyday and hating what you see. I even go to the lengths of avoiding mirrors during the day at work because I just don't want to see what state my face is in - crazy I know. But this lack of self-love is causing a strain on my day to day life, so I need to begin my journey.

I think being a 'blogger' and posting lots of selfies and things, people find it weird I think like this. Because surely if you take a photo of yourself you must be fine with how you look, but that's very far from the truth. Trust me, that photo is 1 of 100, analysed to scrutiny and edited to look mildly okay for me to post. Of course I get those occasional moments where I'm feeling myself and I'm just like whatever but those days come rarely. For example even the photos from this shoot, I came away like wow maybe I can be a proper blogger* and shoot outfit posts without always looking like a dumpling.

[*There's defo no such thing as a 'proper' blogger but you know what I mean].

But being with my boyfriend who constantly tells me I'm beautiful and he's punching (LOL), is making me try and embrace this self-love thang. Whenever my Grandma or my mum call me beautiful, I respond by 'well you have to say that because I'm your flesh and blood'. But when my boyfriend says that I don't really have that to come back at him because well he chose me.

Now I'm not saying it's time for me to swan around calling myself beautiful but I suppose it's time to start embracing myself and not putting myself down for literally every single thing. I'm 24 and I don't want to look back at my twenties in 10 years times and regret spending all of those years hating myself and missing out on experiences because of it.

So here's to not giving as much as a f*ck, start listening to my boyfriend (only on this occasion) and start my self-love journey.

How To Shop On ASOS || New In at ASOS || August

asos new in, how to shop on asos, asos august, asos discount, asos shopping

I don't really know why I haven't done a post like this before but hopefully this is going to be a more regular thing, if you are into it! So for those of you that may not know, I work at ASOS in the social media team. Now if you follow me on YouTube or even look at my most tagged company on my IG, you will know the majority of my wardrobe is from ASOS. This was even the case before I started there as well! I keep up to date with 'New In' pretty much on a daily basis, for work purposes of course nothing to do with my Saved Items. I know the big thing for people when they shop on ASOS, is the sheer amount of products there are, making it difficult to know where to start and what to buy.

So here it is my best of New In at ASOS - this will basically be a clickable list of what has gone into my Saved Items each week, hopefully giving you some inspiration and helping you navigate the best new products! Let me know if you like this sort of post!

Benefit are back with another big collection drop. Well actually it is more of a rebrand of their concealer range with a few new extras added in. You may have seen images of the new pink branding over your newsfeed on the gram. But here I am giving you my own little summary of each product. I am a concealer fan in general, thanks to my little spot friends and am also all about a bright under eye, so it was fab to test all these babies out. Lucky enough I don't suffer from under eye darkness or bags (just yet - but I've just turned 24 so I'm sure that will be coming soon. YAY).

This is so damn soft and bouncy when you start to touch it. The lightweight formula makes it very easy to blend but I would say the coverage isn't that strong. It feels so nice and silky though so it's great to rub all over your face (well your problem areas not all over obviously). I would tend to use this under my eyes before using a brighter concealer.

The OG concealer. If you haven't tried this out yet this will defo be your go to when you have a pesky breakout. This is one of the first Benefit products I tried all of them years ago and it is will soon become your make-up bag must have.

This one probably intrigued me the most out of the collection. It is actually hydrating (who would have guessed it from the title) so if you have dry areas you have problems covering this is a great way to fix that. For me and my skin I don't think this is necessarily a must have for me (shoutout to my other oily gals) so I don't really tend to use it that much. The coverage is pretty light too so I would be looking for something with more coverage for breakouts.

This is the go-to under eye concealer from the collection and it reminds me a bit of that Bobbi Brown corrector/concealer duo. Originally I thought this was too dark so wasn't into it. But then I realised it sort of has this darker red undertone to colour correct, you then put a brighter concealer over to get the full look you want to achieve. Like I mentioned at the start of this post, I don't really suffer from dark under eyes, so I don't tend to automatically reach for this. But after a few crazy nights, this will come in handy when I'm trying to fake that well rested look.

I've also added some other of my favourite, go-to concealers down below.
